    Here is an infographic that gives us a picture of how the internet has become part of our lives in the UK. Online shopping is booming in the UK. The Internet used for more of needs than ever before. Nowadays we find 62% of Britons spend online. (source- Office for national statistics).
During May, 2011, UK shoppers spent £5.3 billion online. 71% of  British shopper going on line believe that the best deals are gained online. It was found that the “peak time” for workplace shopping at 1600 hrs on Wednesdays. It is predicted that one in every £10 will be spent online by the year 2012.

    Some details of the number of unique online shoppers in UK and the areas involved in shopping, are here, where £71 is the average online spend by UK shoppers per month and how it was spent. It was found-
12.6 million shoppers spent on health, fitness and nutrition.
12.2 million shoppers spent on mobile phones.
10.9 million shoppers spent on coupons and rewards.
10.5 million shoppers spent on hardware manufacturers.
3.6  million shoppers spent on parenting and family resources.
10.5 million shoppers spent on food and cooking.

    Another interesting part of the find was that 3.6 million shoppers used car manufacturers. 3.1 million shoppers spent on Auto parts and accessories. 7.8 million shoppers spent on insurance.
