Ideal rewards cards
It is distressing that some reward cards are just for namesake. A concrete example is Airline Reward Card. It does not give you what you want. It is not reasonable to waste your precious time and money on such cards.
If you are a regular traveler, you will come across many cards that offer something better than the airline attractions. For example, cards which get you discounts for hotel accommodation transport etc. They are really worth and necessary.
Reward cards will be beneficial to those card holders who pay the entire balance by the end of the every month. If there is surplus every month, you can opt for a credit card with low interest rate. Some rewards cards entail high interest rates.
Go for those which offer cashback rewards. Their value remains constant unlike those cards whose value changes at the discretion of the supplier. Yet another advantage is that you can use the cash anywhere you like, unlike reward points, which have their limitations.
Rewards cards with 2 to 5% cashback are worthy. Less than that is not advisable. American Express Blue Cash Card is the best for those who use credit cards for purchases regularly. For others, Chase Visa Signature Card is good enough. In any case consider those with moderate interest rates. They are bound to be more than the normal card’s rates. Those with annual fee are to be rejected outright.
Do not fall a prey to the introductory offers and so on which are merely to attract the customers. Read between the lines before you sign the contract. Or else you will be inviting sleepless nights.
