Yates
Founded by Simon Yates and Peter in the year 1854, Yates is a strongest pub chain in the North of England and is a part of the Stonegate Pub Company. It continues to grow all over the United Kingdom. Yates produced its own range of drinks that was called as Blobs that consisted of sugar, lemon, fortified wine and hot water. Although it started off well with its business, it slowed down a little later, as pubs were thought of being just a place for night drinkers. Although weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) brought in great crowd, other days were quiet with very less customers. Also, families restrained themselves from visiting pubs then. Hence, they had to discard the regular style of night pubs to improve sales and business. This eventually worked out well and improved business. Although it still continues its style of offering late night servings, it is open for families as well in order to compete with other companies.
