Wirral families to get free school uniforms before the start of this new term. School uniforms that are out grown are recycled so that it can be passed on to other students who are in need of it. A grandmother from Hoylake named Sheila Fowler is the brain power behind this great campaign. She came up with this idea after seeing many families struggling to get new set of uniforms, particularly in larger families.
Uniforms including trainers, sports kit, bags, blazers and shirts were collected in drop boxes placed in various schools. These were then washed, ironed and sewed with new buttons by volunteers. Although many schools have not taken part in this campaign she is delighted that ASDA has joined them for the noble cause.
