Unemployed people in Grantham area get free bus travel

Free Bus Travel Jobless PeopleLincolnshire County Council has taken the initiative to help jobless people. The county council has joined a national initiative to offer jobless people searching for work, free bus travel this January. The Greener Journeys campaign offer jobless people free journeys on any CallConnect bus service in the county. The partnership with other councils, such as, Rutland County Council, Peterborough City council and Northamptonshire County Council allows the unemployed people journeys across borders. People yet to be employed and who have been jobless for 3 months to a year will qualify for the free travel. They only have to present their Jobcentre Plus Travel card.
