Microsoft announced about free offer of either of the covers (Touch or Type cover keyboard) as you buy an ARM-based Surface RT running Windows RT. Both the Type and Touch covers help to protect and personalise Surface RT. This offer will be available through Microsoft’s online store and participating retailers. Offer will be available to customers of Western Europe until June 30.
Places covered in Europe are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Customers in Europe can get Touch Cover in three different colours such as cyan, black or white and Type cover in Black.
Canalys, an analyst firm reports that during the fourth quarter last year, Micosoft could sell 722,000 Surface RT slabs while Apple could mount upto 22 million iPads during the same quarter.
