Two Free Arts Events to be held at Ambleside
The Ambleside Art Mart and the Kirkby Lonsdale Art Mart are two new free art events scheduled this year. The Ambleside Art Mart is scheduled to be conducted in the Ambleside Parish Centre to coincide with the Easter weekend. It will be followed next by the exhibition Kirkby Lonsdale Art Mart and will be during the Whit Bank Holiday weekend. The Ambleside Art Mart will be the first event that is going to be held at Ambleside Parish Centre and will open on Good Friday, 29th of March. It will be held until Monday, the 1st of April. This event will be followed next by the Kirkby Losdale Art Mart event at the same venue. This event will open on Saturday, the 4th of May, and will go on till Bank Holiday, Monday the 6th of May 2013.
Both these events, to be held locally, will showcase the works of the local photographers and artists. The exhibitions will feature a variety of works, inspired and based on the flora, fauna and landscape of the Lake District of Cumbria and further. David Philips the photographer from Carlisle is one. The Orange-over-Sands artist, the renowned Ann Southward, will also feature her works here. These are just 2 of the many exhibitors displaying here at the venue, during this Easter. Admission to both the events are free and refreshments will be provided to visitors.
Wand Dorset to conduct free fun event for women
After all women also have a reason to rejoice and hence a special day has been formed to highlight their importance to the society. Hence, on March 8th every year we celebrate International Women’s Day. And this year too Wand Dorset will conduct free events for women on 9th March 2013 from 10:30AM to 4PM at Dorford Centre, Bridport Rd, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1RR.
Women of all ages can attend this event and take part in workshops. You can avail free crèche facility and also purchase home made cakes and other refreshments. Also, jewellery making, basket weaving, singing workshop and more can be enjoyed here. However, work shop requiring materials may carry small charge.
