The Pulhams of Broxbourne was a recent exhibition at the museum. Free tickets will be given to the Friends of Hoddesdon’s Lowewood Museum. The additional lecture on this subject is to be held at United Reformed Church, Mill Lane, Broxbourne, which is the talk titled ‘The Pulham’s of Broxbourne’. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, the 5th of March, at 8:00pm. Presenting the talk will be Claude Hitching and accompanied by Val Christman. The talk will be given by the author of ‘Rock Landscapes- The Pulham Legacy’, a critically acclaimed book, who is Claude Hitching. He will be speaking of his experiences while researching his book. Joining him will be a direct descendant of the family, Val Christman. She will share her thoughts and talk about childhood at Ponsbourne Manor among the Pulhamite. Children attending the lecture should be accompanied throughout by an adult, but there is no need to book early. The museum will also conduct a free craft event called “Make a Victorian Toy” on Saturday (23rd), between 12 noon and 3pm.
