Witness free atmospheric lighting at Roker Park

September 30th, 2013 by Sandy

Roker Park in Sunderland close to the old football stadium will be covered with atmospheric sculptures and lighting based on an Alice in Wonderland theme. The display is scheduled to run up to 9pm from 12 October to 4 November. Councillor John Kelly, Sunderland City Council Portfolio Holder for Public Health, Wellness and Culture said the Roker Park Lights held last year was a major success with good feedback and huge number of visitors.

Colourful displays are planned to maintain the historic and classic nature of the park and hence are happy to work with Aurora Street Lighting on installation and maintenance of the project. Activities for children will be held free of cost during the weekend. Interested persons can take a leaflet at any of the Leisure Centre or Sunderland Public Library or visit website for further details.
