Plymouth City Council will host an event that will be free for older people in Plymouth. Free fun and activity day is scheduled to take place from September 30. Events will be held right up to the ‘Silver Sunday’ to celebrate the contribution of older persons to the community. Several activities will be held during the event and finally on October 6, Sunday ‘Silver Sunday’ will be celebrated from 11am to 4pm at Guildhall.
Charities, individuals and local organisations along with the council will conduct demonstrations, education workshops, creative displays, exercise activities and music during the event. There will also be free hairstyle consultations, massage sessions, short mat bowls, Tai Chi and a choir and pipe band.
