Montgomerys to play free rock ‘n’ roll show in Bath
The Montgomerys, the Bristol rock band formed last year, will give music fans in Bath a chance to see them perform, for nothing, in a small venue. The band with a reputation for live gigs and gaining in popularity will be plying on Thursday (tomorrow) in Saracen Street, at the ‘Pig and Fiddle’, as part of a series of free shows.
The Montgomerys were featured as ‘alternative country’ service on Nokia Mix Radio. They have been lined up to perform at major festivals this summer and leading up to the recording of their début album. Both the Western Daily Press and the Bristol Post have recently seen the band as leaders of rock ‘n’ roll and country revival. Their live shows have been seen as resurgence of more traditional styles of music.

Free cycling event coming to Ripon
Ripon on Wheels, a free cycling event will take place in Ripon on 29 March (Saturday) and is open to all including children. Organised by the Ripon Minster by name ‘My Neighbourhood’ project, the event will take place from 11am to 3pm.
Scooter riders, cyclists and skateboarders can try the thrills at Victoria Grove car park and also enjoy live DJ. There will be lots of fun including the performance by the Red Triangle Drama Group, Ripon library, Ripon Community House. Those planning to participate in the event can come along with their scooters, skateboards or bikes and be part of the fun.
