Free event in London- ‘The New Frontlines of War’
There will be a free event to be held in London called – ‘The New Frontlines of War’. This conference is an opportunity to listen to speakers from various countries and the UK. The meet will focus and analyse on art, action and happenings of corporate abuse, about the struggle to get control of resources and discuss the aggressive spreading of militarism. It will be held on 22-03-2014, from 11am to 6pm, at Rich Mix, on Bethnal Green Road, London.
The speakers at the conference include- Berenice Celeita of Columbia, from Nomadesc; Celestine Akpoban of Niger Delta, from Social Action; and Ayed Abu Eqtiash of Palestine, from Defence of Children. There are other leading activists from the UK who work on resource conflict and anti-militarism. In the evening from 8pm onwards, after the conference, there is international music and performance. Free session to learn computer basics at Uckfield Library
Here’s a chance for you to learn more about computer and its techniques from a free taster session to be conducted by Uckfield Library. The programme called ‘Connect and Discover’ will be held from 31 March (Monday) to 4 April (Friday) at Uckfield Library.
Attendees can learn about computer basics, computer usage, tablets and smartphones, social networking, shopping, banking, creating documents and other related works. Organisations and volunteers will conduct hundreds of free taster sessions and events during the one week programme so that more on internet can be learnt. According to lead member of East Sussex County Council, free computer sessions are held every Thursday at Uckfield Library from 10am to noon and then from noon to 2pm.
Free singing taster session at Rock Choir
Rock Choir will conduct a free taster session for public so that a decision can be taken on joining the singing class. For this you need to book a free session at one of their choirs. There will be no audition rounds or spot light shown on the participant during the taster session. You can simply participate in the taster session and decide upon joining for the singing class.
You will attend the normal rehearsal on the day of attending the event and later decide with the choir leader about joining their team if you are willing to. For more details mail office@rockchoir.com or call on 01252 714 276.
