A free Late Night Event

The Voice’ is a free event hosted by Wellcome Collection, which is to be held as a late night event, open to all who can drop in on the 1st, March, Friday. The event mixes science with interactive art and has presentation of interesting stories, with experiments in yodelling too. You get to meet a talking parrot. You can participate to build a replica vocal track and also take part in a live voice remix session. Listen in the dark to radio. Discover the sounds of speech in the ‘Over and Out’ session. You are welcome to drop in and get your ticket on the night. A bar will be open during the event , which is from, 7pm to 11pm at Wellcome Collection, Euston Road.

 

Chiltern District Council to offer free senior fair

Chiltern District Council will conduct a free senior fair for the residents of Prestwood who are aged 60 and over and also for carers and families. This is scheduled to be held on 4th March between 10am and 1pm at Prestwood Village Hall. No pre-booking is required.

This fair will help residents to discover services that are being offered to them in their locality. You can also discuss with local service providers and get to know of various issues such as mental health, physical health and others. Several agencies such as NHS Bucks, Diabetes UK and others will also be attending this fair.

Glucose testing, blood pressure, cholesterol and also height and weight can be checked for free at this fair. Everything right from refreshments to giveaways and transport is available for free. Free taster sessions for kids in Crookes

Tiny tots out there! Get ready for a free month long music session organised by Vanessa Johnson, a Sheffield composer and singer. The couple, Vanessa Johnson and Dave Johnson together have toured the world and performed during several festivals. They have also done two albums and several singles.

Songbuds was formed last year and conducts weekly sessions for children upto the age of four. As Vanessa is moving to Crookes, kids here can take up free one month session in March. Although Vanessa mixes songs from TV and rhymes she makes her own music to the most.

Free sessions are being conducted to drive out fear from the minds of not only the kids but also their parents, grand parents and carers. Free flow musical plays will be conducted during the Songbuds session. While children experiment their talent with the instruments, adults can sip a cup of coffee as they chat during the session.
