Using wrong kind of paint on the walls of free running parks Leicester City CouncilĀ has left the place unusable. The council officials has asked youngsters to paint the walls.
This place has been left unfit for people enjoying parkour or free running. Parkour is an acrobatic form of bouncing between phone boxes, benches and street signs and jumping off buildings. Based on a feedback by Nigel Porter, councillorĀ of Liberal Democrat opposition the council has admitted their mistake and agreed to strip of the paint in a few weeks time.
The paint that is now used is sure to cause slippery and hence people are cautioned against the usage of three of the taller walls though the rest are usable ones. According to a Coun Porter, the issue was raised by a resident of the area and was found to be true and at the same time did not have any warning signs. The graffiti team will work to bring the walls back to bare concrete surface, he said. It is reported that the council has not commented on the total expense incurred in painting but has said that the paint will be removed without additional expense on it.
