Scunthorpe Telegraph along with North Lincolnshire Council will provide free parking for shoppers in the town centre. This has been planned under the scheme called ‘Go To Town’. Free weekend parking is allowed after 9:30am in pay and display car parks located in areas such as Brigg, Scunthorpe and Ashby.
Free parking will help shoppers save £7.50 every week. Shoppers can use one voucher to claim 2 hours of free parking in Scunthorpe at The Parishes multi storey car park. And the other voucher can be used on Saturday and Sunday in council’s pay and display car parks under all-day parking.
Both traders and shoppers in Scunthorpe town centre have welcomed this plan. Shops that are open on Sundays and week days will be greatly benefited with this scheme which will run until 22nd January 2013.
