The first ever Dog Walking Day is being organised, as a free event, by the Dog Trust, at Hever Castle in Kent. The country’s largest dog-welfare charity Dog Trust and Mountain Warehouse, the outdoor retailer, will host the proposed family friendly fun day, to be held on 27 April, Sunday, between 10AM and 3PM at Hever Castle.
Mountain Warehouse is conducting a photo competition to find the top dog of the country. Those who wish to take part with dog photos can upload them to their website- www.mountainwarehouse.com/dog. The “Strike a Paws” competition is open to all and a weekly winner can win dog-walking goodies from the organisers. An overall winner can win the dog-friendly holiday being offered by Forest Holidays. An Event Village at the venue will offer activities for dogs and people. Participants can explore the castle and gardens on a 2 for 1 offer extended at the event.
