South Thames College to host free skills & career event

The South Thames college will be hosting on 8th May, Thursday, at their Wandsworth Campus, a free event – The Skills Show Experience, that aims to explore major skills and careers for young people. The free event hopes to draw in young people from across south-west London, to find over 40 employers, training providers and colleges participating here, open for them to explore training and qualification opportunities and career paths.

The over 50 of “Have A Go” activities, from DJ skills and Theatrical Make-up, to bricklaying and handling reptiles, can be tried out by visitors, without any age barrier. Employers partaking include NatWest, Virgin Media, Young’s Pub, McDonald’s, NHS Wandsworth and WorkMatch of Wandsworth Council. The National Careers service will also be at the event giving impartial guidance and advice.
