Tartan Day features lots of free family fun activities

March 25th, 2014 by Sandy

Tartan Day Scotland Festival will be running across Angus county and also coincides with the Easter break of many schools. Running from 5 August to 13 August, the organisers have packed it with mostly free activities, full of fun and aimed at mostly families. Libraries in the county will also be hosting activities, like story-telling sessions, Book-bug sessions, Scottish stories, rhymes, songs, etc. The Pictavia Visitor Centre will offer, during the event, all children free entry to the centre, to see the history of the Pictish tribes that lived in these parts 2,000 years back.

There are many more events and activities being organised, spread over the dates and at different venues across the county. To know more about the events look into a copy of the Event Guide and to keep updated with the latest news go to the Facebook page- Tartan Day Scotland.
