Shoppers, tourists, ratepayers and visitors to the Newry City Centre will be provided free WiFi Internet Access, thanks to the system launched by Newry and Mourne District Council (on 24 January).
The WiFi access system is also offered to the business community who daily visit the City Centre. The WiFi system is for casual use only and the network will be monitored with robust filtering done to prevent the access to inappropriate sites by those hooking on. Users accepting the terms and conditions of the system will be allowed access. During the launch, Mayor Ruane of the district council commended the great benefits the free system that will give everyone on the move, access to the web, here at the City.
