Free WiFi and augmented reality technology on Scottish buses

Now, Aberdeen bus passengers can use their tablets and smartphones to enjoy entertainment at the backs of the seat using the augmented reality technology. Customers boarding the bus can scan a trigger from the back of the seat and watch interactive videos such as watching theatre trailers, interviews with staff members, service information and even to buy tickets or just to browse the internet using the technology.

The service was introduced in November last year in 35 First Aberdeen buses along with free WiFi. The free First Scotland augmented reality app from Google Play or App Store can be downloaded to get the video channel on to mobile devices.
