‘This is Rubbish’ is a campaign formed to raise awareness among the public regarding food wastage. The free event organised by the campaign group invites public to prepare large fruit salad out of the surplus fruits. Series of workshops are set to be run in the area of Walthamstow.
Participants will be asked to chop surplus fruits at The Asian Centre in Orford Road, Walthamstow from mid day until 3:30pm. The fruit will be taken out to Walthamstow Town Square for preparation and then will be distributed to all at free of cost.
This is a rare event being conducted for the public to understand the importance and value of food. Hence, everyone in the area must make sure to participate in the free event.
