Students at JAGS, Dulwich College and Alleyn’s make music their loving interest ever since it had been established in 17th century. Number of concerts and music tours are organised regularly at important venues and locations. The history of school has so far achieved immense popularity at JAGS which also has plans to create a musical centre with already a proposed name, The James Allen Community Music Centre.
Both boys and girls of Alleyn work together for the musical genres and ensembles. Every term an ensemble or a solonist presides over the Alleyn’s International Concert Series to conduct an evening recital and also to work along with students in workshops and master classes. Evening recital is open for local community who can get tickets from their online website. Boys and girls from three schools show their best in music to the audience.
Wednesday concerts consist of music for brass, strings, wood wind and choral group that lasts for 30 minutes. The concert which starts from January 16th (Wednesday) onwards from 1:30pm to 2pm ends on March 20th 2013. There is no prior booking and the concert can be enjoyed for free.
