Fake flyer offers free travel

Fake Free TravelNorthern Ireland’s road minister Danny Kenney has warned of a flyer that has caused deliberate confusion distributed in East Belfast. The flyer had fake promises of free travel to foreign nationals and discounted travels targeted at specific groups of people, such a young people and elderly. He requested anyone receiving the leaflet should dump it into the bin immediately. He also warned that there seemed to be ulterior motive behind the flyer.

The fake flyers were put into letterboxes of Knocknagoney area in Belfast. It listed schemes like the yLink Youth Card and Senior Smart Card. It claimed all non-British citizens as being offered a free 12 month travel card. The Department for Regional Development stated that all genuine offers can be found on the Translink website.
