Thanks to the financial support from Sported, BATTLEHILL Judo Club can provide free introductory course s in Judo to both adults and children.
Sported, a charitable institution established by Sir Keith Mills has organized the finances to develop an interest in the sport throughout the whole of the UK. Sir Keith Mills is the International President and Chief Executive of the victorious London 2012 Olympic bid. His aim is to provide a potent heritage to the people in Community sports.
The club is on the look out for students to participate in the free preparatory judo classes to be conducted on Wednesdays evenings at Churchill Community College, for a period of six weeks.
Those participating in the classes would be given all the requisite tools and should get in touch with Mr. Malcolm Young 4th Dan, the Head Coach to sign up for the free course. They could get in touch with him at m@bhjudo.com or call 07803 745184.
One of the most extensively attended Olympic and Paralympic sports are Judo and the classes are expected to offer expert teaching in combination with fun-filled and exciting encounters.
A representative of the club stated that those interested in taking part in these free introductory classes did not require prior knowledge of the sport. They could also bring along members of the family or friends or even make new ones while they go through the course and practice Judo and gain all the necessary expertise that can help them complete their first level by the time the course ends. This would be the first rung on the participants’ ladder to achieving a black belt.
