Free In UK first went live on 22 February 2001, with the simple idea that any freebies found could be shared easily and quickly with family and friends. Since its launch, FreeInUK has seen unique daily visitors increase from 8 to over 18,000, serving in excess of 200,000 page views on any given month.

The website now provides its services to over 1,50,000 members and has been featured in magazines and received numerous awards. Due to this large increase in visitors, FreeInUK was moved to a hosting package in August 2001 providing visitors with quicker responses, and allowing for further site enhancements such as it's very own member Forums.
