Attend a free event at Valley Stage School
Enjoy with friends and family an open morning at the Valley Stage School where children will be taught lessons through dancing, singing and acting. This is a free event open to all under the age of 16 and will be held on September 14. The event will thus show that Saturdays can be made more interesting with all such activities rather than being a boring one.
All those attending the event will be trained to act and learn to sing a song and also movements from the film ‘The Lion King’. They will also be encouraged to perform before an audience thereafter. Interested persons are required to be at Temple Cloud Village Hall between 9:30am and 9:45am to book for their place. Call 01275 331167 for more details.
Two Saturdays before Christmas offered free parking by Safford Borough Council
Safford Borough Council will allow motorists to park free of charge in Stone town centre as they have waived the parking charges, but only for the two Saturday afternoons of the weekends, in the run-up to Christmas. Motorists would not be charged parking fees after 1.00pm on the 14th and 21st afternoons of December, before Christmas.
The Safford Borough Council hopes to encourage more people to have festive drinks and meals and also shopping in the towns. So after 1.00pm on these Saturdays, 15 car parks with thousands of spaces in Stafford and the 3 car parks at Crown Street, Christchurch Way and Westbridge Park will be given for free parking. Councillor Frances Beatty, cabinet member for planning and regeneration, hopes this would offer the businesses and retailers in Stone and Stafford a timely boost in shopping season.

Vodafone offers 4GB of data free on 4G
Vodafone is offering an extra 4GB of data to all existing and new customers, every month. To face the 4G competition, the new Vodafone promotion cleverly called “4GBonus”, will give an additional 4GB on top of the Vodafone 4G plans offered to their customers.
On SIM-only plans, customers will get 6GB at £26 a month, or 8GB at £31 a month and a huge 12GB of data for £36 over 12 months. A 4G Vodafone customer has to sign-up to a 12-month or 24-month plan to benefit by this offer, but before October end.
Vodafone is trying to get over EE and O2 competition at every price point, but its roll-out has been limited to London. Yet, it is expected that by 28 September the operator will reach Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham.
