Free musical event for all

There will be a musical programme where Simon Willoughby and Kate will perform on piano. Cellist Fiona Tusk will also join the event. The free event will be held for 30 minutes starting from 12:30pm on 8 October 2013. Several programmes such as Fantaisie by Georges Hue, Victor Wong (written for alto flute) and Alone in the Rain by Steven Tung; Andante Pastoral and Scherzettino (performed by Paul Taffanel); Sonate en Concert (performed by Jean-Michel Damase) (for piano, flute and cello) will be held. So, come with your near and dear ones to enjoy this free event.

 

Free learning course for adults

TQ Training will offer 10 week free course for adults who are looking forward to refresh their skills on numeracy or literacy. Starting this week the programme is scheduled to run every Thursday from 9am to noon at Orchard Children’s Centre in Silk Mill Way. Book you place by calling on 01442 426922 or for more information.

The training is being held in Tring to improve English and Maths and hence those who were looking forward to improve their skills must make sure to attend this free event. This is one of the rarest events that give an ultimate chance for the individual to go back to school days irrespective of age. Hence, make sure to never miss this beautiful chance of learning again.

 

Free taster session on Zither-playing in Buckingham

If you want to learn to play a musical instrument try the zither. Free taster session are available on Saturday, 5 October, in Buckingham. Pat Evens is starting the zither-playing lessons. Those interested, who are at least 7years old, are invited to a 15-minute session between 10am and 3pm on Saturday.

The zither’s soundis pleasant and the string instrument is easy to understand for learners. This instrument features in a solo composed by Johann Strauss II, a famous waltz, the Tales from Vienna Woods. This musical instrument is found in the southern regions of Germany and commonly in Austria, Hungary and Slovenia, besides the alpine Europe and east-asian regions.

A baby and toddler show is free for new and expectant parents

A free show will be held this weekend for expectant mothers new mums and parents, on babies and toddlers, for people in the areas of Huddersfield and Calderdale. The Best Start Baby and Toddler show takes place this Sunday (6 October), open at 11am. The first two hundred visitors entering the show at Shay Stadium which is on Skye Lane in Halifax, will get compliments. The show, a brainchild of Andrea Wallman and Zoe Willows, two enterprising local mums, is sponsored by SP Fitness Solution, The Print Bureau and babyballet. There will be stands with products and services on offer, as well as information and presentations on relationships, coping with toddler’s tantrums, for birth partners, tips for a straightforward birth and advice on dogs and babies. Andrea, owns the Best Start company and wanted to extend the service by organising the show. Zoe was an event organiser, before becoming a mother, and joined her to create the show.
