Free Bristol Community Buildings networking event on 4th June
The next Community Buildings Federation network meeting is scheduled on 4 June. This is a free networking event for any members of groups who are operating community buildings or assets. Free dog health checks and microchips at Erewash
The Erewash Borough Council has invited dog owners in the borough for a free health check-up on their pets. A PDSA Veterinary nurse will check the pets at 4 locations. The health check events will be from 9am to 4m. Locations are at West Park Leisure Centre Car Park on Wilsthorpe Road, Long Eaton on 21 May, Wednesday. Next at Sandiacre Library on Doncaster Avenue to be on 22 May, Wednesday. Next location is at Sure Start Children’s Centre on Beauvale Drive, Cotmanhay, on 23 May, Thursday. Last location at Lake Car Park on Godfrey Drive, Kirk Hallam, on 24 May, Friday. Erewash Borough Council has joined the animal charity to offer these health checks that look into general fitness, weight and body condition, eyes and ears, teeth and gums and also coat condition. Dog Wardens of the council will be available there to offer Erewash owners the opportunity to get their pets microchipped for free. Council leader, Councillor Chris Corbett says it is a fantastic offer and only limited numbers available to microchip the pets. So, it will be on a first come, first served basis.
