Free event for those with fear of falling
Age UK is holding a free event for fall awareness. Any person who has had a fall and frightened can come. Those frightened of having a fall too can attend. Age UK’s Salisbury Branch will be holding the free event tomorrow at the Guilthall from 9.00am to 1.00pm.
Several organisations have been invited to give information about the services, which include Independent Living, Macular Society, Osteoporosis, Arthritis Care and Mediquip. The event this year will see several professionals presenting topics on safety in the home, diet and hydration, balance and movement. The event will also give an opportunity to participate in taster ‘seated exercise’, in Tai-Chi sessions and have a health MOT.
Free festival at The Scoop, More London, until September
The Scoop at More London, is situated on the riverside between the London Bridge and the London Tower. It is an unique outdoor amphitheatre and sunken, that can accommodate seating for 800 persons. It is a outdoor venue which hosts throughout the summer months a wonderful variety of events for free, at various times. This includes music, films and theatre and also hosts local community activities and events. The Scoop is open to all in the open air. Events scheduled include- Fringe from June 5 to 28; Music from June 3 to 26; Theatre from August 7 to September 8; Film from September 11 to 27.
Glasgow Lindy Hoppers offers free swing dancing class
If you are the one looking forward to learn the magic of dance, then here is a wonderful opportunity waiting just for you! Glasgow Lindy Hoppers is all set to provide free training on swing dance. Swing dancing is a group of dance forms made out of the style of jazz music. This form of dance originated for the first time in jazz clubs in Harlem.

This event is organised particularly for beginners who are unfamiliar with dance steps and who have never got a chance to attend dance classes.
