Free event on health awareness
Preston bus station will conduct a free event to promote both health and well being on 28 January (Tuesday) from 10am and 3pm. Variety of stalls such as Preston police, volunteer bub of Lancashire County Council and the British Red Cross will be hosted during the event.
Several fruitful activities such as preparing fruit smoothies using bicycle power, learning first aid methodologies and testing out accessible bicycles will be conducted. According to cabinet member for adult and community services, this event will be of great use to local people and Prestonians who might be suffering from health problems and those who want to find out reasons for all the problems. This event is sure to help people to get involved with the community while also helping them to understand about the services that are available for them.
Free event on starting a new business
Anyone who has plans to start a business or have already started one recently can attend a free event on 31 January from 10am to 1pm at the Central Library in Northampton. Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership (NEP) and Northamptonshire County Council’s library service together will host a business start-up event by offering a series of free workshops, social media training and information resources on starting a new business.
Those attending this event can gather information and advice from several sources such as banks, local business support organisations and accountants. Question and answer sessions also will be held. Such type of business start-up events will encourage people to develop business ideas and to gather valuable tips to develop new businesses from scratch.
