Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) will conduct two free butchery workshops for livestock farmers out of which one can be attended by them. The workshops will be held at Aberdeenshire (October 15th, Tuesday) and Perthshire (October 16th, Wednesday) from 9am to 4.30pm. Booking can be done by calling Kirsty at QMS on 0131 472 4040 or through email at info@qmscotland.co.uk.
The workshop will offer free demonstrations on how the carcass can be boned out and also how to seam cut the carcass of a lamb, beef or pork. The event can also be attended by QMS levy payers free of cost. However, participants need to bring along their own carcass on the day of the event. According to the QMS livestock development manager, these workshops will be of great interest to those farmers who are planning for retail business by selling meat to the customers. Those who want to know better about the carcass produced can also be benefited with the free workshops.
