Free STEMpunk science event at Derby University

A STEMpunk science exhibition will be held on March 18 from 4pm to 8pm at the University of Derby. Attractions at the event include super powers, spy codes and hi-tech crime-busting methods. It will be held as part of the National Science and Engineering Week to be held from 14 to 23 March.

There will be animation films, large Scalextric model car racing track, explanation on how super hero powers work and use of DNA and finger printing in solving crimes. Modelling workshops for computer games and machines that can analyse the working of human brain can be seen here.

Visitors to the event are advised to come dressed in their favourite super hero costume. Though mainly aimed at 11 to 18 year olds, all are welcome to attend the event which must be booked in advance.
