The spectacular St. George’s Day Festival will be back next month at Loverpool, in its second year. Although St. George’s Day Festival falls on 23 April, the following Sunday will see the festival being celebrated at Liverpool with lots of free events.
The opening event in the afternoon will be the world dance performances, coming from the world over. These will be free workshops too. Children too are invited to attend the free events. Those attending fancy dress event are offered discounts at restaurants and at car parks. St. George’s Quarter has one of the finest collections of Victorian architecture in UK. It forms part of Liverpool’s World Heritage sites. St. George’s Day Festival and the free events start at 11am on 27 April, when the TV character, Mike the Knight, who is back by popular demand, will launch the International Dance Day programme from Williamson Square at the Liverpool band-stage.
