Free event on taking an apprentice in Worcestershire

The free event at County Hall, Worcestershire, on 12 November, will provide employers with information on how an Apprentice can benefit the employer and the business.

The event will show how Apprenticeships can increase productivity, reduce staff turnover and meet future skills needs. Talks will be about financial grants and on support for employing an Apprentice and also meeting other employees will happen here. Employers can even get a £1,500 grant from government when taking an apprentice for the first time.

The Project Manager Business Development with Worcestershire County Council, Aamir Kayani, said they were in partnership with other bodies like National Apprenticeship Service and College & Training Providers to help local employers take on apprentices, to meet future needs of employers in the county and for the economy.
