A free Sea Safety event will be held on 29 March at The Boathouse. It will be hosted by MACSALVORS in Penryn and will be attended by the representatives of the fire brigade, the RNLI and the police who will give free advice on sea safety.
There will be displays and informal workshop on various topics such as fire safety, carbon monoxide, kill cords, man overboard and more. You can also bring along your life jacket which can be checked by the experts. Also, know more about fire extinguishers that can be used on your boat. Discussion on various other subjects such as using security mark equipment, ‘Boatwatch’ scheme and more will be held. This kind of events will help you to self prepare before you actually set out to the waters. Hence, it is always better to be equipped before venturing into unknown waters.
