A free event on ‘Diagnosing Autism’ will be held on 10 April this year which will be funded by the British Academy. This is a one day conference event that will take place from 09:30 to 16:00 (BST).
The free event will take place at Goldsmiths University of London. Speakers at the session will include Dr Liz Pellicano (Institute of Education), Dr Laura Crane (City University, London), Professor Patricia Howlin (Institute of Psychiatry), Robyn Steward (robynsteward.com) and Anna Kennedy OBE and Austin Hughes (annakennedyonline.com).
Autism is a disorder of the neural development that causes marred verbal and non-verbal communication and social interaction. It also causes behavioral patterns that are repetitive, restricted and stereo-typed.
