Parents of three and four year olds in Stirling will be able to take benefit of extra 125 hours of free child care from January 2014. Scottish government had earlier announced that with the inclusion of extra hours children between these ages will be able to get a total of 600 hours of free child care from August 2014.
According to the council, extra hours will be extended to three and four year olds between April and August bringing the total to 2000. A council leader has said that council is determined to do all that they can for the working families and that free extra hours granted will make a huge difference. Children will thus be eligible for best care in the start of their life term and also get basic foundation for their education and life thereafter.
