Free training for young drivers at the Borders
Scottish Borders Council (SBC) will hold a free event for young drivers to improve their driving skills through Skill for Life programme of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM). The aim behind the programme is to make road driving safer both for themselves and others.
People in the age group of 17 to 25 year olds can benefit from the plan to which SBC has invested £48,000. This is a two year programme that aims to help upto 400 young drivers. A driver demo will be held on 23 March at car showroom of the former British Touring Car champion John Cleland from 10am and 3pm. The vehicles of the drivers can also be checked. Assistance to car insurance, 12 months free RAC roadside and recovery will also be given.

Free tickets for fans to watch League Cup Final at cinema
Sunday’s League Cup Final will be shown at the Belmont Cinema. Thus Aberdeen FC’s first League Cup final in 14 years, will be shown to Dons fans, who are getting a chance to grab the free tickets on offer to the cinema.
A total of 250 tickets are up for free, from 11th March (Tuesday), on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis, to witness the Dons play against Inverness CT, in the match at Glasgow. These tickets will be offered on a maximum of 4 tickets per person. A great offer to the sport-loving young people who will enjoy the Dons playing in the League Cup Final match. The tickets were available from 12pm yesterday, 11th of March.
