Free event for ancient woodland skills at Worcester Woods

Worcester Woods Country Park will host a free event on 2nd March, this coming Sunday, to offer exciting ancient woodland crafts and skill activities. It will e held at the centre on Wildwood Drive between 10am and 3pm.

Families with their children are welcome to try their hands at ancient skills like wood turing and willow weaving, surrounded by heavy horses and also woodland craft stalls, at the free event.

 

Free Tickets for Gala Concert reserve for saturday night

The forthcoming King’s Ely school’s annual Gala Concert is anticipated to be a sell-out on the coming Saturday evening, full of musical performances. It will be held on 1st March, in the Hayward Theatre, at 7.30pm. The musical evening includes pieces by King’sEly Orchestra and also the Chapel Choir. The winners of the concerto competition, who are students Issac Bateman and Yuki Kimura are also performing here, as part of the Gala Concert.

Free event on insulation for Corby residents

Great Corby Warm Up event will be held today at the school in Rowlett Road from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. It is held to improve insulation in homes that are built from concrete such as Wates, Easy Form, Wimpey No-Fines, BISF and Unity homes. The event will cover ways of improving insulation of houses. People living in non-traditional houses are encouraged to attend the free event.

Free insulation for the external wall, loft and cavity wall will be provided by Corby Council along with Cosyseal Insulation under the Government’s Energy Company Obligation.
