Free Greenwich Comedy Festival for young talents
The Royal Greenwich Comedy Festival will hold free workshops as part of the event to encourage young talents in comics. They are encouraged to explore their skills through writing their own comedy lines and performing in front of the audience.
People who live or study at school or college in Greenwich or those attending Lewisham Young People’s Theatre (GLYPT) workshops and falling in the age group of 14 to 25 can take part in this free event. Interested persons can email their name for registration purposes.
Donate for free Truro City of Lights parade
The 17th Truro City of Lights parade will take place on November 20 (Wednesday). People are encouraged to take part in this free event that will see street parade of paper light sculptures.
An online fundraising event will also be launched to support this event. People can also buy materials that are used to construct the structures through the ‘Buy a Bit’ campaign. According to the fundraiser of City of Lights, about 25,000 visitors are expected to attend the event and if everybody donates atleast £1 then the largest Christmas lantern parade in the UK is sure to be a great success.
Free event in Glasgow to host Master Class Photography
A free event will take place in Glasgow on 2 November, Saturday, with two Master classes on photography scheduled on the day. One session is at 12pm and the other is at 2pm, to be held at the South Block near to St. Enoch Centre. The Master Class are part of the Olympus Impressions series.
The 2 free classes this fall in Glasgow will be run by photographer Neil Buchan-Grant. The attendees will be able to shoot a specific aspect of photography at a specific location. All of them would be given a SD card free for use and have the chance to win an Olympus camera. Attendees will submit their “fall” themed photographs on the Olympus Impressions website to win the prize.

Free event for Mini Monster Crafts and Halloween Tales storytelling
Get ready to have fun and entertainment with mini Monster-Craft sessions and Halloween stories at the Afan Forest Park, in Cynonville (Port Talbot) on 30th October. The session are run by Connection, the Storytelling and Workshops people, with Carl Gough, the professional storyteller on the job.
Just drop in at any time of the day for the free event, which is also open to all ages, with no booking required. Craft materials will be provided free. Timings would be as- Storytelling at 11am, 1pm & 3pm; Creepy Crafts at 12pm & 2pm.
