Seafood Cornwall Training offers free fishermen’s training

October 19th, 2013 by Sandy

The dedicated training agency called Seafood Cornwall Training is offering free training for fishermen, with an opportunity to save £1,400. Fishermen can refresh their basic sea safety courses, and for boats less than 16.5 metres in length, they can complete their Skippers Tickets.

The funding for free training is available only up to March next year. So, fishermen are called on to take advantage while funding is available for free training. Emma Button, Training Instructor , urged fishermen to take up the free training before winter sets in. She offered to provide courses at other Cornish ports, besides Newlyn. Chief Executive Paul Trebilcock of the Cornish Fish-Producers Organisation stressed the importance of safety training for the well-being of fishermen and asked them to use this opportunity to get free training.
