This time during the black history month, the life story of a slave named Nathaniel Wells who later took charge as Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire will be the topic during the event. It will take place at the Civic Suite, North Warehouse, Gloucester Docks.
Black History Month is an event that is celebrated in the UK, US and Canada in remembrance of great people and events in the history of African Diaspora.
The event will discuss how Nathaniel Wells took over as the first black commissioned officer in the British army. This free event is scheduled to take place on October 21 from 7pm to 9pm.
