Patients at ABM hospitals get free WiFi service

October 13th, 2013 by Sandy

New WiFi systems have been installed at ABM hospitals for patients to surf the internet for free. Wales is the first to get public WiFi service in its health board. The WiFi here is powered by The Cloud. The new service will be of great use to patients who can keep in touch with their family and friends even while at the hospital.

Free WiFi facility will be available on personal devices such as tablets, smart phones and laptops of both in-patients and out-patients settings. Apart from patients, clinicians can also gather data related to patients’ ailment right from their bedside. Full coverage of WiFi is available at Neath Port Talbot, Morriston and the Princess of Wales hospitals. But only partial coverage is available at Singleton Hospital, the ARC Centre in Bridgend, Cefn Coed Hospital and in ABM buildings.
