Free taster session on Nordic Walking in Uttlesford

A free Nordic Walking taster session will be held on 28 September, a Saturday, at Saffron Walden Common, at 1:00pm. Nordic Walking is an increasingly popular sport in Britain. The sport was introduced in 2004 and since then over 300,000 people have tried it out. Nordic Walking comes from Scandinavia and the sport uses two hand poles to give a whole-body workout, exercising both upper body as well as legs, in a walking action. You too can try it out.

Those who have not tried out Nordic Walking, but would like to, can use this taster session to experience it. The walking poles are being provided and the session is free. As places are limited, interested persons should book by calling Uttlesford District Council on 01799-510510 (Customer Service Centre). They should fill in a downloadable health questionnaire (available from www.uttlesford.gov.uk/nordicwalking), fill it up and bring it with them on Saturday, to attend the taster session.
