Northamptonshire libraries to offer free Wi-Fi

September 19th, 2013 by Sandy

The public libraries of Northamptonshire will be offering free Wi-Fi service to the public, whether they are a member or not, while visiting the library. County councillors have supported the project, worth £65,500, through the Empowering Councillors Scheme, to set up free WiFi hotspots in the 36 libraries of Northamptonshire. The cabinet minister for customers and communities, Heather Smith, says that people expect to access WiFi in many places and so they should be equipped to learn more and connect with their communities.
