Free cycling training for Oxford residents

March 18th, 2013 by Sandy

Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council will offer free cycle training to the residents of Oxford so that they can gain more confidence while cycling. It is mainly focused on nervous cyclists who find it difficult to ride on the roads and seem to be the most challenging job.

The training session will allow you to get used to handling the cycle off the road and then get onto roads in real traffic. This will also help cyclists to make short journeys between work and home, the city council spokesman said.

Census report of 2011 shows that nearly 15% of the travel made between work and home was using bikes and hence this free course is hoped to be taken up by the people willingly, board member of the city development quoted.

Free cycle training will be held on March 19th and April 30th. So, don’t ever let go this fruitful chance go in vain.
