Dog-owners can take advantage of the Dog Trust Basic Healthcheck and also get their dogs microchipped, all free of charge. The event is to help with a change in law that requires all dogs to be microchipped from 6 April, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Dogs being brought in should be accompanied by a handler of 18 years or above and must wear a collar with lead. The <a title=\"Free dog microchipping and checkup at Middlesbrough\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thenorthernecho.co.uk\/news\/11156960.Free_chipping_and_check_ups_for_Middlesbrough_dog_owners\/\" target=\"_blank\">free event<\/a> is from 11 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. The first session to be held is at the Community Hub, Newport Settlement, on 30 April, Wednesday, on St. Paul&#8217;s Road.
