This announcement has been made to encourage local high street shopping.<\/p>\n<p>Free parking will be available from 3pm on weekdays from December 3rd to 24th in the following places- St Neots (excluding Market Square car park), Huntingdon (excluding Sainsbury\u2019s car park) and St Ives. Market Square car park and Sainsbury\u2019s car park has been excluded from this scheme as they have been classified as on-street facility. Free parking in Ramsey\u00a0will continue to be as before.<\/p>\n<p>Cllr Jason Ablewhite, Council leader said that free parking has been announced to encourage residents to shop in their local town. This special offer will be an incentive for local shopping and will at the same time be a boost for business in these areas, he added.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Free Parking in Huntingdonshire\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cambridge-news.co.uk\/Huntingdon-St-Ives-St-Neots\/Free-parking-for-festive-shoppers-25102012.htm\" target=\"_blank\">As this offer<\/a> is announced for the Christmas season, shoppers need not display their tickets while parking during this period.
