{"id":16318,"date":"2019-06-13T08:39:50","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T08:39:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.freeinuk.co.uk\/blog\/?p=16318"},"modified":"2019-06-13T08:39:52","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T08:39:52","slug":"free-events-at-guildford-museum-bring-history-to-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.freeinuk.co.uk\/blog\/free-events-at-guildford-museum-bring-history-to-life","title":{"rendered":"Free events at Guildford Museum bring history to life"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Guildford Borough is making Guildford Museum out for few months to bring history to life by connecting the past events with the present with a host of wonderful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guildford.gov.uk\/article\/22847\/Bringing-history-to-life-Guildford-Museum-out-and-about-this-summer\">free events<\/a> around the borough.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nevents will take place in June, July and August months. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On\n\tJune 15, 2019, free family fun in the Castle Grounds, 10\n\tCastle St, Guildford GU1 3UW\n\tby bringing medieval Guildford back. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>An\n\tevent of connecting past history and present objects on June 22,\n\t2019 at Shackleford Village Fete and on July 20, 2019 at Wood Street\n\tVillage Show.\n\t<\/li><li>Free\n\texhibition \u201cPeople and Places\u201d from July 20 to September 22,\n\t2019 at Guildford House Gallery, 155\n\tHigh St, Guildford GU1 3AJ.\n\t\n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Family\n\tFun Day&nbsp;with free entertainment based on Lewis Carroll&#8217;s famous\n\tcharacter on August 3, 2019 at the Castle Grounds.\n\t<\/li><li>Free\n\tcreation of origami boat from August 8 to August 10, 2019 at stand\n\tat Guildford-on-Sea Urban Beach.  \n\t\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cllr\nJames Steel &#8211; Lead Councillor for Leisure, Heritage and Tourism said\nthat they are taking over the museum out for few months to bring past\nhistory to the present life. There will be host of events taking\nplace exhibitions, family fun events for all ages to enjoy and most\nof them are free. He also added they look to find new ways to share\ntheir heritage and arts and the museum building gives them great\nchance to take it out. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They\nare having wonderful plans to do improvements in the museum in the\nfuture to make it important place for its heritage and culture.
