The <a href=\"https:\/\/news.leicester.gov.uk\/news-articles\/2019\/may\/talks-walks-and-activities-on-traffic-free-streets-at-the-open-streets-festival\/\">free event<\/a> is happening around New Market Square and streets covering Friar Lane and Millstone Lane. The events will feature guided walks, craft session for kids, Rickshaw rides etc. all the activities are free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nroads will be closed to manage traffic and celebrate the festival by\npeople and also there will be lots of activities and games organized\nby local shops and businesses and lead talks by experts, guided\nwalks, and rickshaw rides to find the heritage of Greyfriars area.\nThis month is themed with Arts and Crafts and there will be craft\nsessions for kids on historic arts\/crafts. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\nwill be a talk by Rowan Roenisch of National Trust on Stoneywell &amp;\nthe Arts &amp; crafts movement mainly about Ernest Gimson \u2013 the\narchitect &amp; designer at 2.15 pm. At 3 pm, there will be talk by\nAndrew French about 21st Century\u2019s design. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nvisitors can enjoy street food and drink where you can get on-street\npizza oven outside the Two-Tailed Lion, in Millstone Lane. There will\nbe free bike park and free repairs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nNational Lottery Heritage Fund is funding the event.
